A new beginning for this blog and video series. We have decided to revamp our channel. Starting with the name. We have all new equipment and focus. On this episode, Gale and I were in Bakersfield CA. At Bill and Dude Overtons Cowboy Church. They built it in their Tack Room. This is a very short but fun video to check out. Please let me know what you think.

Johnny Rowlett Ministries APRIL newsletter
On The Road with Gale and Johnny Rowlett
California
We had an amazing, busy, but successful trip to this beautiful state. We didn’t even have two days in a row that we didn't have ministry to do. We started in the incredible valley of Temecula. The greatest thing we get to do besides seeing people come to Jesus, is meet His incredible co-laborers. Let me just say that California is alive and well and full of amazing men and women of God. For example, Pastor Mike Gratkze and his amazing wife as well as Gary Gilleon and his wonderful wife. This team is doing some of the most impacting work in southern California. While working with them, I spoke at a Senior luncheon, mens breakfast, a speakers forum and two church services. God really touched many lives. We loved being connected to such amazing people.
One of the highlights was being able to hang out in San Diego with none other than Mary James and her husband Dan. We then headed over to Sonora, CA. We were amazed to find out we were at the gate of Yosemite National Forest. Tom and Donna Modrell took us on a personal sightseeing tour. We then headed over to San Jose and did the coolest church ever. It was called City Encounter church, it was held at the world famous IMPROV. Pastor D’Andre was an amazing host. Lastly, we stopped at the “Cowboy Capital of the World” as advertised by the city of Oakdale. We got to do a concert with my favorite family band called De-la-Croix. God showed off!
Our Journey Home...God is Faithful!
Well, I wish I could say it was smooth and easy but this turned out to be our most difficult stretch. A trip that should have taken us about 2 days ended up taking almost 5. Weather and breakdowns almost got the best of us. We decided to not lose heart and not grow weary in our faith. All we wanted to do was get home for Easter. I am grateful to say we were able to spend Easter Sunday with our kids and our church family.
Monthly Funny
What started as a really tough day, with being re-routed from Wyoming to Colorado and then finding out our new path was also closed, ended up with hilarity. We had just found out we were going to be stuck in a small town in Utah that was unfamiliar to us. On top of that bad news I had just spent quite a bit of money on batteries, hoping it would fix the volt meter issue rather than having to replace an even more expensive alternator. We found a place to park and stay the night. Both Gale and I were at an edge that we both knew but chose not to discuss or even acknowledge. We began the process of putting down the levelers on “OZ” our motorhome. I was standing outside and watching them come down as Gale was pressing the buttons and watching the gage inside. when we got it just right. Gale stood up to walk away. As she did she accidentally laid on the horn. As you can imagine it scared me beyond what is healthy. We laughed until we cried
Loss of a great man
While on tour in Santa Cruz California, I got the news that my Grandpa Thurman had passed away. We had to make last minute arrangements to get back home (Bartlesville OK) for his funeral. We are so grateful for some of our ministry partners that helped make that possible. Im not going to say that it wasn't hard to say goodbye to Grandpa, but I will say that it turned out to be a wonderful family time. God used it to minister to one another and bring our focus back to him. The thing that was most important to me was being with my mother during her dads passing. As the oldest grandson it gave me a platform to speak and sing a message of restoration to the rest of the family at the graveside. My mother was heart broken, but filled with love and support from us kids. It was also my great honor to be a pallbearer with my father (Pic above). It made me beyond grateful to have my father still in my life. My parents are incredible people who played a major part of what I do today. I am grateful for my family.

Its a New Year...Welcome 2016 The Year of Jubilee
Riding with the Rowletts
Happy New Year! We are heading into our third year of full-time ministry. I am amazed and overwhelmed at what God has done in our lives. I never could have dreamed that in just our second year, we would have seen so many incredible things happen. I find it funny, that we always pray for Gods blessing and then when He does it, somehow we are shocked. What I have learned, more now than ever, is that He works through relationships. The amazing friends that we have met this last year, has been so wonderful. It's so important to stay connected to one another, accountable to one another and covered in prayer by one another. I can truly say to all of you that are getting this newsletter, Gale and I love and appreciate you completely. Thank you for one of the best years of my life!
We have had a breakthrough in the actual music business side of what we do. If I can be real honest I fought within myself as to whether I wanted to be involved in "the business side" ever again. However, some wise friends in my life convinced me that it isn't about magazines and awards its about gaining new platforms to reach more people with the Gospel. Its humorous to me, that as soon as I got my priorities straight and focused on serving, then God gave me a level of success that I never dreamed. He is promoting us to new levels and bigger platforms. It's an honor to be in the employment of my Father God. This year we were nominated for ICMA Male Vocalist of the year and more importantly Music Evangelist of the year. Turn around went to number 4 on the Powersource charts and the video has received almost 60,000 views on Youtube. It was nominated for Video of the year. Our song "The Truth Is"is currently the number one song in the country! I tried so hard for so many years, back in the 90's, to have this happen and God does it in one year without my effort at all. I am also excited to let you know that we are about to release our new single "The Old Mustang" early in 2016. Also, Bishop Michael Pitts, has included this single on his new worship CD which includes artist like Israel Houghton, The Katinas and Peaches from Peaches and Herb (Linda Tavani). Its called "Heal the World". The proceeds will go to help missions in Africa and other projects worldwide. Get yours on iTunes today!

I left the best for last. In January, Gale and I began to pray that God would allow us to see and do more for the Kingdom. Bishop prayed for us that we would have more power and anointing than ever before. All I can say is wow! By the end of our first tour in March, we had already seen over 200 people get saved and over 300 people come forward for prayer to help overcome issues like addiction in their lives. I have lost count of the totals for the year but I can promise you the number of salvations in 2015 would be close to 1,000 and countless others receiving prayer for breaking chains. One highlight I remember was preaching to a triple max prison in Cumberland, MD. It felt like revival hit that prison. The Warden has since asked that I come back and offered to allow me to do a live album recording. Praise God! To Gale and I this is what it's all about and I want to make it real clear we are not out here to be famous or sell more records than others. All I care about is that God would allow us to be His conduit with a message of hope and restoration. We believe the Gospel is the GOOD NEWS and its up to us to deliver it. I use music as an avenue into their lives where we are able to reach the unreached and teach the untaught. Bishop says it like this "Love Can Not Whisper While Evil is Shouting". Gale and I are on a mission to scream from the mountain tops that God is Love! We will go anywhere at anytime to do whatever He asks, Gale has started a side ministry that I believe in and support whole heartedly. It shows our mission. We call it "Gales Hope Bags". We take a one gallon Zip lock bag and fill it with socks, snacks and basic essentials. We carry about 30 of them with us and hand them out to less fortunate people we meet along the way. Its not about whats in the bag, its about who's holding the bag. It allows us to have a point of contact to love on them. We also go to public places and set up our sound system and gather a crowd by singing. We then hand out the bags. We tell them about Jesus. At our last event in Florida we did this and about 20 people gave their lives to the Lord.

This leads me to our big announcement. We are stepping out BIG time in faith. Towards the end of this year, we noticed that our budget was being consumed by two major issues; Hotels and eating out. Therefore, we started believing and praying for some type of a coach. God has provided a 2000 34ft Fleet wood South wind with only 59k miles for about 1/3 of what we thought we would have to pay. As excited and grateful as I am, I realize the pitfalls of driving something that big down the road for thousands of miles. We know for example, that repairs are expensive as well as fuel. Please stand with us as we step out in faith and take on this major responsibility. One of the difficulties is that we have always tried to keep our expenses as low as possible so we don't ever have to say no to a church. This can never be about money. We don't currently have a set fee that we charge. We just ask for a love offering. Its our heart to be able to always say yes to anyone that would ask us to come and help them reach their city for the kingdom. Gale and I are believing that the money we save in hotels and eating out every meal, will equal out in the long run to the expenses of having a home on the road, where we can sleep in our own bed every night. Also, it becomes a fantastic tool for outreaches. I plan on pulling it up into public places and opening up the awning, starting the generator, bringing out the sound system, putting on a free concert to anyone that will listen and passing out Gales Hope Bags. Here is a pic of the new coach.

My Amazing Wife Gale and her mission...Please Check it out!
It has been the vision of our Pastor (Bishop Michael Pitts) and the Cornerstone Global Network to be a church that "Promotes the Good". As Gale and I have traveled this country this last year, we have been looking for ways to do just that.
We were in Arizona last year in February, and we were invited to do an outreach in the city park for the homeless. Afterwards Pastor Atticus Register from Shiloh Christian Center in Sierra Vista, wanted to show us just how bad the homeless situation had become. He drove us through the desert and down in the washes. Between the mesquite trees, there were homeless people that had built a small city of tents hidden away from everyones view. It was here, that something rose up on the inside of Gale to do something about it.
It's amazing that once your eyes are open to the real issues, then those issues can be seen everywhere. That was the case for us. Everywhere we went, we saw homeless. Once in Montana on a cold night we met a man laying on the ground outside of a flying J truck stop. We went to multiple homeless shelters all over the country and learned about how we could help. In Yuma Arizona we did a concert and saw over 50 people come up for prayer. It seemed like every city we would go, God would show us people that just needed to be loved on and ministered to. We began to save up extra soaps and shampoos from hotels we stayed in every night. We took the extra food that pastors put in our welcome baskets and we would give them to people on the street.
We are willing and ready to go to the next level with Gales passion! We have decided to really step up and make it part of our purpose. This next year, above and beyond our normal ministry and concerts, we plan on helping to make a real difference in three ways. They are as follows;
#1. We will personally begin to fill and distribute "Hope Bags" everywhere we go. These one gallon zip lock bags will contain just basic necessities like Water, clean socks, granola bars, soaps, lotion and multiple other items that will give someone an opportunity to believe that someone still cares. The most important thing about these "Hope Bags" is not whats in them but rather who's giving them. It's our heart to have these bags be a point of contact to help us build a relationship with these people and it gives us an opportunity to pray for them and believe with them for super natural healing and revelation of who Jesus is.
#2. We will offer to every church that we minister with to partner with us and possibly do outreaches in their cities. Our plan is to provide music, food and to hand out our "Hope Bags" to every person we can possibly reach.
#3. We will try to connect with homeless shelters all over the country to offer free concerts for their people. We will serve the shelters and their vision.
We need your help! Although it won't be a huge budget, it will take more funds than we are able to provide on our current budget. We are believing for monthly partners that will stand with us and commit to help us do good and reach more people. Anything helps! Our desire is to have in our vehicle with us at all times up to 40 filled "Hope Bags". Our goal is to do this with great excellence. Please consider going to www.JohnnyRowlett.com and hitting the "donate" button and setting up a monthly donation. If you're not a fan of online donations then please reach out to us and get our address. We are a 501C3 Non-Profit organization and can provide you with a tax receipt. Turn Around Official Music Video (Johnny Rowlett)
Ya know, I have had a few people make me feel bad about "pushing my music" when there are so many bigger issues going on in the world... So much hurt and pain that makes my little exciting things pail in comparison. I have to admit this really did bug me for a min. But then I felt like the Lord gave me an encouraging word. I need to share it with all of you that are out there giving the Kingdom of God all you got. This is what I feel like the Lord told me; I gave you a sword to swing! Its for ME to decide where and how far that sword will reach. It's your duty to SWING it as hard and long as you can. I'll give you the strength. I'll give you the purpose and Drive. Just use what I gave you and swing your sword with all you have! ... I owe it to my family and my Father God to use the gifts and talents that He has given me for His purpose and His calling! So, just so you know I'm not gonna stop or slow down until He tells me. It's time to advance not retreat! Be encouraged today and do what God has called you to do with everything you have...Swing your sword!
